"Once More* With Footnotes", inedito in Italia, è stato pubblicato in occasione della partecipazione di Pratchett come ospite d'onore al Noreascon Four, la sessantaduesima World Science Fiction Convention. Il volume raccoglie storie brevi, articoli, introduzioni a libri d'altri, discorsi, ed inoltre la sua prima storia breve, "The Hades Business".
La prima versione del libro è stata pubblicata in un numero limitato di 2.500 copie, a cui sono seguite due ristampe. Il titolo è una fusione della frase "once more, with feeling" con l'abitudine di Sir Pratchett di utilizzare frequentemente nei suoi romanzi le footnotes (annotazioni a pié di pagina).
